What do You want to be? Who do You want to be? |
There are a number of fantastic places out on the web for people who are interested in face painting. The paint that I use in most cases is Snazaroo. Snazaroo has a fantastic photo library from artists around the world. You can visit Snazaroo at
Another company that makes face paint is Mehron. They also make a greasepaint that is used by clowns. When I've clowned, I've used Mehron's greasepaint and it has worked. You can see Mehron at www.mehron.com.
An additional company that makes facepaint and theatrical makeup is Kryolan. They have some very lovely interference paints. You can see Kryolan at www.kryolan.com.
After working with the Birmingham Jaycees on their haunted house for 15 years, I enjoy painting faces that incorporate special effects. A great supplier of special effects makeup and appliances is Bloody Mary. Bobbie Weiner did the makeup for the drowning victims in James Cameron's Titanic. You can see her makeup at www.dearbloodymary.com.
Another resourse for painters is the annual Face and Body Art International Convention that Marcela Murad and Cynthia Keeler organize. This is one of the best gatherings of face painters and body artists in the country. I have attended the convention every year since 2003.
There is a great directory for international face painters at kindergrime.startpagina.be. The language in this link is dutch, so be aware of that.
On the Birmingham, AL, USA level, there are several resources available for parents. The Birmingham Parent magazine is free and available at many locations around the Birmingham metro area. You can visit them at www.birminghamparent.com.
The best resource on the web for henna information is the Henna Page. Visit it at www.hennapage.com.
You can contact us at (205) 907-0747 or email us for more information on how to add more fun to your next event!
